Description

Expedition, Luxury, Performance, and Build Quality define this world-class Catamaran. A rare find, built with a specific purpose in mind – to sail the world’s oceans.

Her designer is award-winning design firm Du Toit Yacht Design, who has produced more custom catamaran meters and tonnage than any other yacht designer in the southern hemisphere. This Two Oceans 750 is expertly built in a sandwich construction, using epoxy E-glass with a PVC foam core. She has a fixed keel and spade rudder using laminar flow foil sections that were custom designed by Du Toit Yacht Design.

Two Oceans Marine are renowned as industry leaders and specialists in building custom-designed luxury catamarans with a build quality and attention to detail that is exemplary. The cost to build a similar spec vessel would be astronomical.

Arguably the most compelling feature is the enclosed flybridge with 360-degree panoramic views and 360-degree protection from the elements. This gives the helmsman and crew the ability to explore the most remote destinations regardless of the weather patterns. High latitude destinations come to mind, along with the traditional tropical cruising itinerary.

She is currently operated by a full-time liveaboard family that have embarked on an adventure of a lifetime. They have sailed through Southern Africa, crossed the South Atlantic, and have now spent several seasons exploring the waters of the Caribbean. When asked what they love most about their yacht, their consistent answer is “her ability to sail and sail properly at that”.

Most luxury catamarans in this size range are not built for circumnavigations but rather the charter market and fair-weather sailing. The Two Oceans is built for both and has proved this during her short lifespan on the water. A good example would be the Cape to Rio race in 2014. When 1/3 of the fleet were forced to abandon the race due to heavy weather, She kept course and finished in a total of 28 days at sea and arrived in pristine condition.

Manufacturer Provided Description

A SLEEK, MODERN DESIGN.

This new member of the Lagoon family has style and a strong personality. While keeping a family resemblance and retaining the main features of the latest generation of Lagoons, it shows us a new path: unhurried evolution, a new "organic" approach, in search of harmony between living space and man.

An elegant silhouette, flowing curves which, by virtue of a noticeable acceleration of the lines in the bows and in the new coachroof design, emphasise the powerful and dynamic nature of this new model… A VPLP design naturally, a guarantee of performance under sail!

A COSY COCKPIT, WITH SMOOTH, ELEGANT CURVES

  1. A single level from the aft platform to the saloon: a structural "revolution".
  2. Entirely new ergonomics that ensure excellent use of space and ease of circulation on board.
  3. A large glazed door that occupies the entire width of the coachroof, and provides access to the unparalleled internal volumes.
  4. The suspended steps at the transom provide a whole new perception of the boat: a continuous, wide and inviting platform, worthy of a large vessel.

AN INGENIOUS DECK LAYOUT

  1. The mast moved further aft and the self-tacking jib, a guarantee of performance under sail and ease of handling, provide the ability to bring all operations together in one place.

AN ERGONOMIC HELMING STATION

At the coachroof bulkhead, offering many advantages:

  1. Direct communication between the cockpit and saloon.
  2. Improved circulation, forward and aft of the helming station.
  3. Direct access to the coachroof for easier access to the boom.
  4. A composite bimini with a sliding panel to ensure a good view of the sails.
  5. A closure panel for helming station safety when under way.

ACCOMMODATIONS

  1. 3 or 4 double cabins … and what cabins!
  2. Island double beds for the aft cabins and beds with side access for the forward cabins.
  3. The aft cabins benefit from a bathroom with a separate shower.
  4. Very large windows in the cabins offer excellent illumination and magnificent views of the surroundings.
  5. The vertical glazing in the coachroof provides saloon illumination: a well-lit, comfortable environment that is perfectly balanced between the galley and saloon areas.
  6. The U-shaped galley, fully fitted with broad work surfaces and extensive storage space, is oriented towards the external cockpit.

The attention devoted to detail and the use of the volumes make this new interior a unique and enjoyable living space.
