Replacing a catamaran that has come to be seen as a benchmark is no easy task. But the VPLP architects, in partnership with Lagoon and the celebrated Nauta Design studio, have been brilliantly successful in creating the Lagoon 450. The Lagoon 450 is now available in 2 versions: FlyBridge or SportTop.

The Lagoon 450:

1. Seeing bigger— in terms of accommodation, deck areas, facilities, and performance
2. Lagoon expertise: infusion-moulding for weight saving (important for a catamaran), best possible structure, and protection for the environment and shipyard workers
3. Interior joinery in Alpi® reconstituted wood in the interests of sustainable development (choice of finishes: light oak or teak)
4. Vertical glazing for better protection against the sun, optimisation of space, and headroom
5. Gull-wing bridge deck for greater comfort in heavy seas
6. VPLP design: a guarantee of performance under sail!
7. Nauta Design touch for elegance and comfort

Above Decks

1. The cabin-top design creates a more elegant and punchier roof outline
2. A large sunbathing area on the cabin top
3. The sail areas are the same with the FlyBridge version. However, the lower mast and boom:
4. Reduces pitching
5. Makes the boom easier to access
6. The cabintop bulkhead fitted steering position on the cabin-top aft bulkhead includes:
7. All maneuvers
8. Integrated large helm station seat
9. Access from the cockpit and the deck
10. An optional extra safety system is also offered, with a tilting composite beam (optional) to close off the steering station in bad weather
11. A composite bimini above the steering area is available as an option

2. Saloon and cabins are exceptionally well lit
3. Natural light in cabins thanks to large glazed panels on hulls
