Catamaran Brokerage Specialist, Saint-Martin Yacht Broker, F.W.I. Caribbean Gwen began her professional yachting career as sailing instructor in the Med and in the Caribbean. She furthered her marine industry experience by working for a major sailboat manufacturer in France followed by a yacht charter company in Saint-Martin. In 2012, Gwen joined The Moorings as Yacht Broker specialized in ex-charter fleet sailboats and in Leopard catamaran brand. In 2018, she decided to move with her family from the Leeward to the Windward Islands and spent 2 years in Carriacou in the Grenadines Islands before working at JFA Yachts shipyard in France recognized in the superyacht industry. With her husband, a professional captain, and their 2 daughters, they love to sail on their boat. They have an extensive knowledge of the whole Caribbean islands and people. They both have great interest in the superyacht catamarans. As Yacht Broker, Gwen is well known in the industry for her honesty and integrity throughout sale and purchase process. "Catamaran Brokerage a Cut Above I wanted to provide some feedback and information for those on the site interested in selling or buying a catamaran. I have had the opportunity to work with Catamaran Brokerage (Michelle and Gwen) in both the selling of our L-40 sailing catamaran and purchasing of our L-43 PC. Catamaran Brokerage was fantastic to work with as we sold our L-40 sailing catamaran. Michelles network of individuals delivered several individuals interested in the boat and arranged all the details of the showings. Michelle continually contacted me talking thought all the things that would make the boat sell. They had me involved, since I knew a lot about the boat, and handled all the details when offers came our way. Michelle and Pat personally came to the sea trial and survey which really helped the buyer and me as we moved through the process. Michelle and her team also handled all the details of the closing making it very easy. We then use Catamaran Brokerage help us find our L-43 PC. Because we only were shopping for a L-43 finding what we wanted was not easy. Catamaran Brokerage found several US based L-43’s but none of them worked out to be what we wanted. But because Catamaran Brokerage has Gwen based in St. Maarten we found a L-43 that fit our needs in the Caribbean. Personally I really did not want to buy a boat in another country 1,100 nm from home, which I am sure many of you would not want to do either. But with Gwen on site all the scary details got handled pretty easily. Gwen and Michelle worked together to insure that in each trip down we did what we needed to do (sea trails, surveys, etc.). The truth is it is more complicated to purchase a boat in another country but with Gwen and Michelle organizing, showing, assisting with negotiations, government details, importing, and helping with the arrangements to get the boat back to the US all fell into place. Plus now we have an amazing friend in Gwen who worked behind the scenes to insure all the local stuff got done right. I could go on but I will close by saying I strongly recommend Catamaran Brokerage for selling or buying a boat. I also would encourage you to expand your boat shopping to St. Maarten (Caribbean) with Gwens guidance it provides so many more options.
