Licensed & Bonded Florida Yacht Broker Captain Kevin Klinges is a highly professional and experienced sail and power boat captain, with extensive knowledge in the industry. Growing up sailing the Chesapeake Bay with his four older brothers, Kevin developed a passion for sailing at a young age. His father's 42' Irwin became their summer companion, sailing from the north to the south every year until Kevin's college years. At the age of 19, Kevin made a bold move to The Virgin Islands, where he crewed on a 68' trimaran. The adventurous journey took him to Grenada, Venezuela, and back to St. Thomas. During this time, Kevin's skills as a sailor flourished, and he gained valuable experience in handling various types and sizes of boats, from monohulls to catamarans. For seven years, Kevin worked as a sailing captain for a sailing school in Charleston, where he honed his skills as an instructor and cruising consultant. He conducted numerous deliveries from Maine to Florida, the Bahamas, and all over the Caribbean, further expanding his knowledge and expertise. Additionally, Kevin, along with his family, embarked on a sailing adventure to the Bahamas on a Lagoon 400, spending almost two years exploring the beautiful waters. Kevin's experience also includes a transatlantic delivery on a Lagoon catamaran, sailing from France to Fort Lauderdale. This challenging journey showcased his navigational skills and ability to handle long-distance voyages. With over 25,000 nautical miles under his belt, Kevin possesses extreme hands-on knowledge of numerous makes and models of catamarans and monohulls. His understanding of his clients' needs allows him to guide them with positive results.
